Hi Neighbours and Friends,

A couple of years ago, we attended this great marriage course and I see it is back being offered again.
Fully recommend it for people thinking of getting married, for young marrieds and for older marrieds. I was a bit surprised that when I told people we were doing a marriage course that the usual response seemed to be one of shock, often followed with an "oh no, you guys having problems?" The answer was "no, we are not having problems, and I figure the way we should keep from having problems is to invest in our relationship - so we are going on this course."
Anyway, here are the details if anyone wants to go to the next one. It is koha based, and you get your own table, just the two of you - they give you a really nice dessert and a hot drink while you are there each night.
Here is the info:
Invest In Your Marriage
Alpha Marriage Course

The acclaimed seven-week course, starting 2 May through to 13 June from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. You will be served with either coffee or tea and with dessert at a candlelit romantic table for two while listening to practical talks that are informative and fun. The whole evening is couple-private, no group work.

Please register by contacting the Village Baptist Church Office at 877-4606 or office@villagebaptist.org.nz.

And

And so they came
And they were bearing standards of war
And they were wearing Iron Crosses upon their chests
And they were wearing yokes and mantles about their necks
And they were riding demon beasts made of steel
Breathing death with every shout and whisper
And the people cried, begged, pleaded and died
And then they left

And the screams and whispers of the dying followed
And the survivors, few though they were
Walked lost and dazed, through the rubble that once was their homes
And the people tried to understand that which they could not
And the children tried to ask questions they could not form
And the dead lay where they fell
And the dogs did not
And the village mourned the loss of all they once cherished
The innocence of the children at peace with the world

And slowly they came together again
And no one could look upon another without seeing again
And their eyes were haunted by one moment in time
And their hands would not touch
And their ears would not hear
And their hearts would not feel
For all the good had been sullied by the blood of the children

And through all they know the sun will go down and rise again
And the birds will still sing at dawn
And the rain will fall from winter skies
And the children will still be born
And time will carry on her long slow march
Until the tears are dried and life is gone for all
Then peace will reign once more

Hi there,
We have a brand new Gas Heater Flu for an Internal Wall. We purchased it thinking we would install it but then moved the heater to an external wall. The Flu is still in its original packaging and has not even been removed from the box. It is too long since we purchased it so we can not return it and it is now past its year warranty. If anyone wants the flu for their gas heater - it is for an internal wall, not an exterior wall - please sing out. Seems silly to have it sitting in our garage if someone needs it. Willing to sell for a very good price. I can tell you the type of gas heater you will need to buy when we make contact.
