Traffic delays Wednesday and Thursday
Installing a section of water main onto Te Mata Rd will start overnight on Wednesday, 7pm to 10pm.
During that time there will be short periods (about 30 minutes) when there will be no access from Te Mata Rd onto northern side roads between Carl Ave and Guthrie Rd. After 10pm there will be no right turns available on the stretch of road where the pipe is laying.
Drivers will need to turn left and go around a roundabout in order to travel right.
On Thursday, as work progresses on drawing the pipe into the pre-drilled hole below the surface, entry to the side roads and driveways will clear.
We apologise for the inconvenience, however it is the only way in which to install this critical pipe work. Contractors and Council are working as hard as possible to keep disruption to traffic to a minimum. Please share this message with your friends and neighbours who are likely to be in the area at the above times.
