On Wednesday the 10th of August Pankaj and the team at Dominos Greenmeadows are holding a "Raise some dough" fundraiser for the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter Service.
From 4-9pm $1 from every pizza purchased will be donated to our life-saving service. Mark it in your diary now and pop along for a pizza or two to support the trust.

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

New neighbour
Okay folks, if you feed your animals outside, you might want to rethink that. We have new nocturnal neighbours, inside Havelock North.
There is a very well fed brush tail possum up the pōhutukawa tree in my garden.
I don’t know where it’s come in from, but it’s in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, so keep an eye on your pet doors, open windows and doors and pet food.
I’ll be notifying council and DOC tomorrow.
