Fun family event on Thursday!
Hi neighbours! Come along on Thursday to one of the two sessions of family fun! It's designed mainly for primary school aged children, with plenty of fun for preschoolers also. Throw soft toys in the bucket, race hotwheels, pop balloons with darts and throw wet sponges at the superhero. Have a bite to eat, but leave time to redeem your reward tickets for a prize before the disco starts. Call into the church office for a colouring sheet beforehand if your child would like to enter that competition, and there's also prizes for costumes (nothing scary though, thanks!) Scam Alert: Bank cold calls
ASB is warning customers about reports of cold calls from scammers claiming to be from ASB. These scammers are trying to obtain personal information, including usernames, dates of birth, and verification codes sent to your mobile phone.
🛡️ The "Caller Check" Test
If you get a call from someone claiming to be from ASB and you’re unsure, just ask them for a Caller Check. You will then be able to verify the call through the app.
Remember, banks will:
❌ Never ask for your banking passwords, PINs, or verification codes
❌ Never need to know your full credit card number – especially the CVC
❌ Never ask you to download software or remotely access your device
❌ Never ask you to purchase gift cards or transfer funds.
If you have received a phone call and think your account has been compromised, call ASB on 0800 ASB FRAUD (0800 272 372), or visit your local branch.
Camera footage
Hi does anyone in the Raureka Hastings area have cameras on or facing towards Oliphant road that were operating on 27th Feb that could have captured a black hatchback vehicle between 10.25-10.40am travelling down Oliphant road and running over my friends dog. The vehicle dragged the dog and stopped by the shop and got out to have a look then took off. Any assistance be greatly appreciated. Thanks
