VHS tapes - for the artist, props builder, the nostalgic, theatre
They're mainly for arts and crafts, using the magnetic tape in mixed media works, the tape as a whole in sculpture. I was going to do a big Afro Samurai portrait. But I'm no Erika Iris Simmons (have you SEEN her magnetic tape art? Gosh, it's brilliant! I'll include a picture of her more 'simple' works for reference. You should Google Image search her, you won't be disappointed!) Anyway, I have my hand in too many hobbies, so I shall pass this on to someone who has more creative energy than me.
So, free boxes of tapes to any one who wants to try their hand at some funky art.
Or maybe you want to add some to your props department for all those retro scenes set 10-30 years ago.
Or use them as building blocks with your children/grandchildren as a metaphor for building new things out of the relics of a bygone age. (Speaking of children, apparently young children LOVE these, just unreeling them seems to give them so much joy, you can do this before you artify them)
Maybe you even still have a player and want to attempt to watch these, I won't judge.
