Breast Cancer affects so many of us in so many ways - could you please lend a hand?
Hi there Hawke's Bay people - the Pink Ribbon weekend collecting for breast cancer support is coming up - Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November at New World Hastings. Two wonderful people responded to this message; could more of you possibly help by giving two hours? Currently we have slots available as follows:
On Friday 13 November - one slot at 8-10am, one slot at -10-12, one slot at 2-4 and four slots at 4-6pm.
On Saturday 14 November - four slots at 8-10am, two slots at 2-4pm, and two slots at 4-6pm.
If you can help please comment below or PM me and I will contact you.
Also, please ask your friends and family to lend a helping hand – men are more than welcome – remember – men can get breast cancer too! And you can bring your dog and / or your children / grandchildren.
I look forward to working with you – in the pink: a scarf, a skirt, earrings, a whimsy, a wig, a t-shirt/jacket/jumper, pink feather boa, pink bowler hat – some / any / all of those!
Regards
Susie McCutcheon

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.8% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.8% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.4% ... It is complicated
