Covid Update for Magpie Market
Level 2 has finally arrived but not quite yet for Magpie Market! To operate safely we will need to be allowed at least 100 people gatherings indoors and possibly be able to trace everyone who comes along. We are "On Hold" still but NOT closed. Watch this space, Facebook (MagpieMarketNapier), Event Finda or spot the roadside signs to keep up to date with when we will be reopening. Hoping for a really special spring opening (September 6th) if not sooner.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
