Wanted - Board Member
If you value life with sound and share our view that early hearing education is vital for a healthier and more connected community then we need you!
For over 50 years we have been providing unbiased information, advice and support for people affected by hearing loss in our community. Due to a lack of awareness, 7 years ago we developed an education program that we deliver free to local Early Learning Centers, kindergartens, schools, tertiary centers and community groups raising awareness on the causes and prevention of noise induced hearing loss and other hearing related topics. Our program is highly valued and demand is growing, therefore we feel we are in a good position to expand and put greater focus on our education program. We provide a preventative service, enabling our community to value their hearing and take action to preserve a life with sound.
We are looking for a forward thinking, proactive person ideally with governance skills to support our mission and vision.
This is a voluntary role - Expectations of Board Members are that you attend our Board meetings which we hold every second Monday of the month from 5:30pm, these last approx. 1-1.5hrs.
If you are interested in becoming a member of our Board please get in touch today!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
