Leak detection night works – Te Awanga and Haumoana
Friday 2 February 2024 between the hours of 12am - 3am
Due to the recent wet weather (lessening the normal summer demand) we can carry out water leak detection in the system.
These works involve rolling shutdowns across sections of the network. It is anticipated that shutdowns will last for a maximum of 30 minutes and occur between the hours of midnight and 3am. Note that properties may be affected by multiple shutdowns during this period.
You can help: If you are aware of any leaks within the Haumoana and Te Awanga water supply we ask you to please report these to HDC on (06) 871 5000.
There is a chance the shutdowns create some aeration or discolouration of the water. If this occurs please flush your taps for approx. 5 minutes. If this does not resolve the problem, contact us on (06) 871 5000.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
