Security from Scammers
After listening to what sounded like intelligent woman telling RNZ about how she was scammed out of a large sum of money by a phone scammer who posed as one of her bank staff, I would recommend most strongly you go into your local bank and request to set up a password that the bank have to give you when they ring you before asking you to confirm your own identity. Everyone should get on board with this. These scammers sounded very plausible and how often do we take calls from private numbers or 0800 numbers when we can't be sure it is from who they say.
