Do You Have Two hours to Spare for a Fantastic Cause?

Susie Neighbourly Lead from Havelock North

Hi there

It is only two weeks before this important collection – 2019 Pink Ribbon Breast Cancel Appeal – Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October.

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered so far – 82 of you filling 102 slots – a number of you doing more than one session 😊 😊 which is fantastic! Four more people have volunteered since I posted this - only need another 55!

I do more than 100 hours organising the Hastings area (my choice - a comment – not a complaint). Could you give two hours?

If you are able to, you could sign up at www.pinkribbonappeal.co.nz... or text, phone or PM me and I will find you a slot - Friday 11 and/or Saturday 12 October. If you aren't in Hawke's Bay, and wish to help, the web site would probably be your best option - or else the hot line - 0508105105.

If you are not able to assist, and that is understandable, we all lead quite busy lives – perhaps you know of a friend or family member who could stand up in your place. If you are looking after children that weekend, bring them along – it is a great way to teach them about volunteering and community.

If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to call or PM me.

Ciao for now

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
