Want to learn a new skill - or use the one you have?
Knowledge Bank is desperately in need of more volunteer scanners to start clearing a backlog of work. Scanning involves working with a camera system that is fairly easy to understand plus a bit of computer work. Supervision and training would be given - hours are what you can give - and support is available at all times. People here are friendly and happy and we'd love to have you come join us - if scanning isn't your thing we have a lot of other jobs to fill such as transcribing, oral interviews, and evaluation and proof reading. Some can be done from home - but our need for scanners is critical and that has to be done at Knowledge Bank in Omahu Road. Call Linda Bainbridge if you're interested on 06 833 5333 - we'd love to hear from you!

New neighbour
Okay folks, if you feed your animals outside, you might want to rethink that. We have new nocturnal neighbours, inside Havelock North.
There is a very well fed brush tail possum up the pōhutukawa tree in my garden.
I don’t know where it’s come in from, but it’s in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, so keep an eye on your pet doors, open windows and doors and pet food.
I’ll be notifying council and DOC tomorrow.
