There are plenty of ways to keep in touch and support one another over the next several weeks. Just don't forget about those with limited internet or mobile phone access!

Personally I can't see the point of an election when it;s likely to spread the virus through a huge amount of contact between people - I also believe that all parties could have some good input into how to handle the situation with the virus and the economy - put aside party politics for a time and have a combined government (small G) with consensus decisions. Back to petty bickering after a vaccine is found!

Changes to GP consultations:
Hauora Heretaunga is immediately moving to protect the health of patients in waiting rooms by continuing with phone consultations and offering video calls where possible.
We will only be seeing people in person where it is absolutely necessary. This will be arranged after a phone consultation with your doctor.
If you have a booked appointment your GP will be in contact with you.
Dental services will be provided for emergency services following a phone call with our dentist.
Pharmacy is open for flu vaccinations and a delivery service for medications will operate until 2pm daily for those assessed as high risk.
These measures are recommended by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Does anyone have anybody have any old wooden crates, beer crates or similar they don’t need. I’m still trying to sort out clothing storage in an odd shaped and sized space.

I suggest that the genuine ones will have good feedback from community posted here. If unsure seek more suitable connections, ask questions or phone others.
If there is anyone co-ordinating assistance in your area, review the posts or call them to discuss.
Take care everyone.

I currently would fill them at least twice over... When I spoke to someone at the Council to see whether it was possible to purchase additional bins I was advised that this isn't possible right now, however, they will be open to feedback on this. So please, once you've been issued the bins and if you find them insufficient, give the Council feedback, either by phone, online or in person. Many thanks
