No recycling until further notice

Julie Neighbourly Lead from Havelock North

Hi Neighbours

If you have put your recycling out for collection, please take it back in. There is only general rubbish collection for the time being.

From HDC
“Quick update of Rubbish and Recycling as at February 20, 5.00pm.

• Kerbside wheelie bin collections re-started today (Monday 20 February).
• Henderson Road Transfer Station is now open to the public to dispose of waste, residential green waste and residential recycling. Fees apply to dispose of waste. The transfer station is open from 7.45am to 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday and 9.45am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
• Residential recycling can be dropped off at Henderson Road transfer station.
• Rural recycling stations are not open until we can check them. We will update the community when they are ready to be used.
• The Kerbside recycling collection (crates) has not resumed and we do not have a date for this resuming. Recycling to be held on-site if safe to do so. (Contractors are busy and in some cases their facilities are damaged and need to be repaired before they can operate fully again).
• Flood damaged household waste: For those dealing with flood damaged waste people who are insured should contact their insurer about the options available to them, depending on their policy and the process for assessing and disposing of flood damaged waste.”

Cheers all

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
