Hi All. Yes, we've moved from 707 Sylvan Road, to the the A&P Showgrounds, and much bigger premises, bigger workshops, bigger projects, and bigger hopes of helping the Hastings Community with their big or little problems. Our charges range from Cakes, biscuits, $donations, and your word of mouth Adverts about us to your friends and neighbours. With 70 (odd) retired members, with a wealth of knowledge, and now women members, there are not many problems we cannot solve. (Above, I used the word ODD, which can be taken any way you like). Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
