Funeral Plans

Rhonda Neighbourly Lead from Hastings Central

Hi Friends and Neighbours, :-)
As a Funeral Celebrant, I am becoming more and more convinced that those who are trying to organise a funeral would be so much better off if their loved one had left some kind of instructions with what kind of service they would like. You don't have to plan for every part of the service, but it might be that you have some ideas - and for your family to know what they are, would be an incredible gift.
I see it a bit like an Emergency Kit - none of us wants the earthquake, none of us wants a flood - but if those things were to happen and we had a Kit with water, food, emergency blankets etc to help us; well wouldn't that be far better than nothing?
It would help us to get through.

Thinking about what your family might need and put it aside so they can find it is exactly the same.
Think about it, Pack it, Park it and Pull it out when you need it. That is the idea.

Or it might be you have to plan and organise someone's funeral service - it would be good to have some ideas well before you need them.

Years before our dad died, I got him to write down what he wanted. He did. And we were all so thankful.

If you would like a copy of a cool wee KIT I have made that will help with planning ideas that you can leave for your family or give to family members to fill in to help you out you out for when the time comes, let me know.
It is titled 'The KIT' and comes with a brilliant document titled,
"E Noho Ra, Tata, Goodbye. Here is what you need to know when I am gone."
The KIT also includes three other documents that are ever so useful including one that shows you how to leave helpful and necessary information for the person who has the privilege of writing your eulogy or life story.
Costs
$25 for One, and for a couple or family $8 per extra copy.
Discount for Neighbourly Folk - $20 for one, $6 for the needed extras.
Retirees on Neighbourly: $18 for one, $5 for extras.
Pick up in Hastings or within the 50 km zones in Hastings $4 or within the 50 km zones in Havelock North $6.
Other areas please contact me so we can work it out the delivery.
Please email me or call me if you would like a copy or if you would like to talk about the other services I offer.

Thanks for reading.
Hope you have a good week.
Kind regards

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
