The upcoming weekend will be busy in Havelock North with the Strata Group Tour of the Bay Fun Ride taking place on Saturday, Targa Rally NZ 2016 completing their final two legs in the village on Saturday and Sunday, not to mention the Harcourts Hawke's Bay Arts Festival coming to a close on Sunday. Locals and visitors will experience temporary road closures in the district over the weekend so check here goo.gl... for a list of closures and as always please take care on the roads.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
