Business for urgent sale or workshop for lease

Julie Neighbourly Lead from Havelock North

Well, the rent bill is due at the end of this week, and it looks like I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't. So, please, fig you need a workshop, store or just space. Come and see me in the next couple of days.
Re-New 113 King St North, Hastings CBD.

Sadly, I have made the decision to sell my business, or give up the lease on the workshop to a new tenant. Unless someone is interested in taking over just the workshop, and sharing the facilities. Or sponsorship.

I only have until the end of the first week of September to find a solution, or end up in serious financial trouble.

If anyone is interested in taking over the Re-New Community Workshop and Store, or just taking over the building lease, or workshop, please contact me, as soon as possible. The workshop is huge, with a spray painting booth, a welding area, workrooms, office spaces, laundry, 2 toilets, smoko room, storage, rear access roller door and included parking. The store front has a 12m wide glass front, with awesome street view. The premises is nearly 500sqm. There is plenty of street parking and a council off street parking yard next to us, with the public toilets right by the corner of the shop.

I am willing to negotiate what is included in which arrangement. But I don’t have time to wait.

The business purchase includes almost everything, from tools, materials, equipment, IT, furniture, website, social media accounts and more.

All I’m asking for, price wise, is enough to see me free and clear of debt. How much that is is to be discussed with any potential interested party. Everything else is negotiable.

For those who think it’s a waste of money, I have been awarded nearly $50,000 in grants over the past 3 years, because it is a massively viable opportunity. It’s simply that, while it seems a lot, over 3 years, it’s not, and I no longer have the connections, or finances to make it work. I was let down by the people who promised to be part of it, and never followed through. Partly because of their own finances, partly because of the cyclone, and the big one just changed their mind at the last minute, despite 5 weeks of plans and assurances. Then blamed it on the cyclone. Maybe true, maybe not. But I wasn’t the only one they burned.

This business can be successful, but not without financial resources or connections, which I no longer have.

This is a chance for someone to do what I haven’t been able to…make a positive difference. On a societal scale.

Or just have a place to set up your own business.

Price: $50,000

Speaking on Nature

Greg from Forest & Bird Hastings Havelock North Branch

This month Kay Griffiths (The Conservation Company) is coming to talk about Pekapeka/Bats - the NZ Long-tailed Bat in particular. Classed as nationally critical, a colony has recently been discovered in Central Hawkes Bay. Little is known about the colonies in the area so the Department of Conservation and Lotteries are funding research by The Conservation Company.
