Wendy from Havelock North

Have you always had a hankering to try pottery or do you want to refresh existing skills?
As part of the Havelock North Village Carnival on Saturday, October 29, The Pottery Havelock North will hold a “Have-a-Go” day at the HN Community Centre, beside the library, from 10am to 2pm.This is your chance to experience using a pottery wheel or hand building something from clay. There’ll be some friendly, helpful club members on hand to advise and there’ll also be a lovely selection of club members work for sale.
If you’re interested in joining the group, we meet 3 times a week at the Old Girl Guide Hall in Bennelong place.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
