Goodbye to all my friends on neighbourly

Rosie from Parkvale

I have moved to Katikati and will miss so much about Hastings and all the lovely people there. Hastings is the most convenient town I have ever lived in with everything you need being just around the corner or within 10 mins drive and the airport only 20 mins away. And no huge waiting in traffic.

In fact the only complaint of late has been the near impossibility to see a doctor - haven't been able to see mine for over a year. Fortunately that is not a problem up here. But the traffic is dreadful and everything is so far from everything else. But the move was necessary as we aged and needed to be nearer the support of family.

Keep safe and well all you lovely people and I will not forget you.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
