Awesome party venue and experience
We just had my son’s birthday party at the best venue. Beyond The Box Escape Rooms and VR Experience was awesome, amazing, hilarious and fun.
$35 per person for the escape room. It’s an hour trying to figure out how to get out. Or free watching someone else trying to get out. And you can hire the VR and games room for $150 for an hour.
There are heaps of games and puzzles to keep everyone occupied and entertained. We loved it.
Check it out. They’re at 105 Market St North, Hastings, and you can visit their Facebook page or website www.btbescaperooms.co.nz... for details.
You can also hire the VR experience for your event at your own venue. It would make for a great fundraiser. Any schools interested? Or charities?

Suellen’s sweet Christmas tradition
The festive season is always a great excuse to indulge your sweet tooth, and this time of year poses the perfect opportunity to bring a real showstopper to the Christmas table.
For Suellen’s family, that showstopper is Croquembouche, an impressive tower of cream puffs bound together with spun sugar that is popular at weddings in France and Italy.
What began as a birthday treat at a local French café has become a cherished Christmas tradition for Suellen and her 17-year-old twin granddaughters, Ellie and Sadie. Every year, the trio gather in Suellen’s apartment at William Sanders Village to cook this festive dessert - a holiday highlight they all treasure.
