Week of Prayer for World Peace 2020 (11-18 October)
Although the founding of the Week of Prayer for World Peace in 1974 was a Christian initiative in the UK, it soon became an inter-faith and international activity, and now welcomes everyone of any faith, or none, to take part. On Monday 12 October, at 7.00 pm, there will be an evening of devotions, readings, music, and film about World Peace, hosted by the Hastings Baha’i community, at the Heretaunga Women’s Centre, on the corner of Eastbourne and Russell Streets, Hastings. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
