“Neighbourly is a New Zealand owned (remember that bit) social media site creating easy ways for neighbours to talk and connect.”

Neighbourly, The Bay Comical, Northern News, Sunday Star Times and various other publications are, according to Wikipedia, owned by “Stuff.”

Here's where it gets interesting:

Stuff is a New Zealand news media website owned by Stuff Ltd, a subsidiary of Australian company Nine Entertainment Co. Stuff is the biggest media website in New Zealand, with a monthly unique audience] of more than 2 million. Is that New Zealand owned?

On 26 July 2018, Nine Entertainment Co. and Fairfax Media (Australian owned) announced they agreed on terms for a merger between the two companies to become Australia's largest media company. As a result of the merger, Nine shareholders own 51.1 percent of the combined entity and Fairfax shareholders own 48.9 percent”.

So, how can an organisation 100% owned by “ Australia's largest media company” legitimately claim to be “New Zealand owned?”

Interesting.

This morning at 2.30 am, 2 dogs, 1 black and another lighter colour, possibly tan, came onto our property, viciously attacked and killed our cat. We have on CCTV the black dog with the cat in its mouth which was discarded outside the neighbours property. I found her when I went to get the paper. Our cat did not stand a chance as she was deaf, had arthritis, a thyroid condition and was 16 years of age. To whom ever owns these killer dogs, keep them inside your own property. They have killed once they will do again.

Small businesses are vital to the recovery of our economy.

During the Covid-19 restrictions, business owners have shown initiative, hard work and resilience to keep afloat.

But many have been hit hard.

Lack of clarity about just how heavy the toll of the restrictions have been on individual businesses and their ability to quickly rebound adds to the uncertainty of the national economic recovery.

Therefore, Prosper is launching a survey targeted at finding out the scale of Covid-19's impact.

You can take that survey right now – it will only take a few minutes.
