One-sided football game highlights climate change and global inequalities
EarthDiverse makes the news again, this time in the New Zealand Herald with an article that describes our partnership with the award winning International NGO, Spirit of Football (based in Germany). Project co-lead Nona Morris (EarthDiverse's Director of Educational Programmes), and team members, Eva Bernabe-Bernardo (co-lead), Pepa Torre (publicity), and Anna Casey-Cox (volunteer community support), launched the first New Zealand Spirit of Football Fair Play game and Climate Action workshop with Hamilton Girls High School participants. The game itself is an analogy for climate change inequities, and the workshop supports participants to make a climate action pledge. PM says the ‘war on farming’ is over, at Fieldays’ Mystery Creek
The rural sector will pull the country out of recession, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon told farmers at Mystery Creek on Tuesday.
Luxon’s main message was that farmers are not villains, they are “partners” of the Government and the saviours of the New Zealand economy.

Tributes flow for Paul Galletta
Paul Galletta, “a real Waikato guy”, was farewelled by police and the rugby community at FMG Stadium on Wednesday.
A crowd of nearly 1500 gathered to celebrate the life of Galletta, who died at the age of 62 on November 23.
