A cancer lodge that had a $550-a-day shortfall has been thrown a lifeline in the form of more government funding.
The Lions Lodge in Hamilton provides stays and meals at no expense to patients travelling for treatment, and the extra money means Waikato BOP Cancer Society boss Helen Carter “can sleep at night”.
