Poll: Would you take a Sunday trip on the train?
Te Huia rail service has been a hit for weekend day trips to Auckland to the extent that plans are underway to add a Sunday service between Hamilton and the super city.
Despite being set up as a weekday commuter service, Te Huia’s patronage has been on the up, according to the latest public transport stats for the Waikato region.

The butcher with a taste for adventure

‘Devastated and disappointed’ - former students hope it wasn’t one of their own
Former students of Taupō Nui-a-Tia College say they’re “devastated” and “disappointed” after the alleged arson at their school which has left an entire block of classrooms, and a health centre destroyed by fire.
Emergency services were called to the school about 2.15pm on Sunday, when plumes of black smoke could be seen across town.
