Unwanted wool

Pat from Melville

Do you have any wool that you no longer need? We are a group of elderly women who knit blanket squares, jerseys, scarves, hats for poor people in Moldova and Romania and we are always looking for wool to keep us going. We knit and crochet for the group, 'Mission without Borders' , which is made up of people who want to help those less fortunate than we are in NZ. They arrange to ship the work when it is completed. It is a non-denominational organisation who want to share some of the abundance we have in NZ with people who are less fortunate than we are.
Please call me if you can help and I will arrange for pick-up. My number is 021-057-0371. Kind regards and thanks. Pat G.

Poll: Do you use the district nursing service?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

The health system has been accused of breaking the law amid sky-rocketing demand for community-based nurses in Waikato.

This comes as the supply of district nurses lags behind referral increases of more than 100%, leading to staff burn out and an “unprecedented” service failure.

Do you use the district nursing service? Tell us more in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).
