Ana from Tamahere

Hi All, Just to let you know that we are running a road cycling event on Sunday 10th Feb based in Tamahere. The event HQ is the Tamahere Community Centre on Devine Road. This will also be the start line. The 350+ Riders will be out on the local roads from 10am until approx. 1.30pm. The finish line is directly outside the Redlid Bins depot on Tamahere Drive. The road is not closed but we ask that drivers be wary of the cyclists and practice patience. More information on the course can be found here

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
