This is my nephew in law and his wife Samantha is my niece through my sister's family. Dave is a photographer for people and teenagers who love skateboards. They were supposed to be with us before Xmas. for us (my partner and I) know they will be on the long road to recovering between 14-24 months. My partner is a survivor from his motorcycle accident and he knows what to feel like. I was a deaf health carer nurse and worked with many young teenagers and people in the hospital for 6-8 months many years ago. One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
