Hi everyone

You might be aware of the community master planning or BluePrinting process that Waikato District Council held public sessions on last year. These documents attempt to capture the community's voice directly -and for that to shape future priorities and growth, to ensure that is in line with what the community itself wants.

The draft of these is now complete and open for community input. There are drop-in sessions (including one locally at the Tamahere Hall on the 26th of March from 2pm to 6pm) or all documents can be seen on-line here:

www.waikatodistrict.govt.nz...

I encourage you to input -you can have your say on any part of it but we are asking two basic questions: 1) did we hear you right/did we get the first draft right? and 2) what are the top priorities that should happen first?

Growth is a double edged sword...and it's coming whether we like it or not. Let's try to hang on to the values and good things that make Matangi and Tamahere great places to live!
