This is my nephew in law and his wife Samantha is my niece through my sister's family. Dave is a photographer for people and teenagers who love skateboards. They were supposed to be with us before Xmas. for us (my partner and I) know they will be on the long road to recovering between 14-24 months. My partner is a survivor from his motorcycle accident and he knows what to feel like. I was a deaf health carer nurse and worked with many young teenagers and people in the hospital for 6-8 months many years ago. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
