Description:
We are looking for keen and committed volunteers to contribute as a Volunteer Meals on Wheels Driver on weekdays. You will be picking up hot healthy meals from the hospital and delivering them to elderly, ill and vulnerable people in need in Hamilton City.
You will be a vital part of our volunteer family and will be making a direct contribution to those who need it the most. Especially the elderly, sick and those unable to cook their own meals. Your support will not just provide them with a chance at a healthy meal but also give them a friendly in person interaction with an awesome volunteer like yourself. You will be joining a team of volunteers who ensure the most vulnerable in our community have a hot healthy meal on a daily basis.

Requirements:
You will need to have your own car.
Someone who enjoys interacting with people and who has good communication skills and has a clean full driving licence.
It would be very helpful if you were familiar with most parts of Hamilton or confident using GPS or a map to find locations.
Volunteers need to be warm, friendly and reliable to support the community. Having a mobile phone is desirable.

Time Commitment:
Weekdays - 10:30am - 1pm weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
We are also seeking casual drivers who may be available on short notice to cover a weekday 10:30am - 1pm.
You can choose the day that suits you best.
All shifts start and end at Waikato Hospital.
