Crash hazard
Cars from hospital ED coming down hill towards Ohaupo Road either fail to see or take no notice of the Give Way signs facing them. Just turning right into Hague St yesterday I aborted the turn and was just missed by a car coming down the hill without even slackening speed as he passed the signs. The people designing junctions need to consider the psychology. It's far more natural to go straight through than to stop for cars turning across their path.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
