Poll: If you're renting, what are you seeing?

Libby Reporter from Waikato Local

Rental prices on Trade Me have dropped but Hamilton seems to have missed the memo with city property managers saying that’s not what they are seeing.

The latest Trade Me rental price index shows prices have fallen to an eight month low, with the median cost of a rental in the Waikato at $580 - down 0.9%.

If you're renting, what are you seeing? Tell us about it in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Have you been to Hamilton Gardens lately?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Hamilton will soon offer a portal to a medieval ‘hospital’, without the stress of the bubonic plague.

The Medieval Gardens will open next year at Hamilton Gardens, with much of the work already done.
