JUNIOR TRACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FUNDRAISER - 'WE'VE GOT YOUR BACK' T-SHIRT

Helena from Cambridge

Our son Alex Schuler, has been selected to represent NZ at the Junior Track World Championships in China this August, this is completely self funded and he has been doing all sorts of fundraising to get himself there. Currently he has a T-shirt fundraiser - $100 gets your name or business name on the back of his T-shirt. He will be wearing the T-shirt to competitions, trainings, Junior World Camps and when travelling to China plus around the local area before and after the champs. We need to get screen printing done in the next week or so and are reaching out to see if there is anyone else who would like to support him. Acc. details are on the flyer. Any other donations can be made to the account but please put T-shirt and a contact No. if you want your name on his back. Please feel free to message me (mum) with any questions. Any support would be greatly appreciated!

Poll: Would you help your kids out with buying a home?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

OPINION: Over the past year, I’ve had the same conversation with many Waikato families again and again.

A child has found a house. The market feels like it’s moving. There’s pressure to act quickly. And before anyone has really had time to think it through, parents are being asked to step in with cash, guarantees, or equity from their own home.

Poll: What do you think of the new police move-on powers?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Central Hamilton businesses are welcoming police being given new powers to move on vagrants, with a city retail advocate saying the previous hands-off approach wasn’t working.

On Sunday the Government announced it would grant police powers to order any individual rough sleeping, begging, or displaying disorderly behaviour to move on.
