Like 40% of GP practices around New Zealand, Waikato’s Leamington Medical Centre just closed its books to new patients, to manage spiralling demand.
Without the help of its two US-trained physician associates (PAs), GP David de Beer reckons they’d have to slash another 1500 patients.
