Free family friendly event - Cicadas of New Zealand book launch

Tuesday 19th December 2017, 10:30 - 11:30am, at the Hillcrest Normal School hall.

Come and help us celebrate the launch of "Cicadas of New Zealand". There will be loads of activities like making craft cicadas, pin the wings on the cicada, a colouring in competition and more! You can buy your own autographed copy of the book for $20, or take away information sheets on local cicadas. See you there!

Copies of this book can also be purchased from www.fishpond.co.nz.... The book describes New Zealand’s 42 native cicadas and includes colour photographs and location maps. The book also includes general information on New Zealand cicadas, including a description of the cicada life cycle and how to catch cicadas.

Police investigating a serious assault in Matangi are asking the public for help in identifying the offenders.

Two people were trying to speak to the occupants of a dark-coloured Ford Falcon on Saturday night that was doing noisy burnouts in the semi-rural area.

Seven the magic number for Ruakura Superhub warehouse project
