Their lawyers have asked the city council stop all work towards the demolition of the theatre, according to an email from acting Hamilton City Council boss Sean Murray.
The Theatre of the Impossible Trust (TOTI) intends to seek a review of the council’s decision through the High Court.
In May, councillors voted 9-4 to demolish Founders and transform the site into a multipurpose park.

The competition winner will receive amazing “money can’t buy experiences” including a visit to Rocket Lab facilities as a VIP and other prizes will include a series of space and engineering themed experiences thanks to our generous partners.
