Can you help police investigate a hammer attack?

A woman suffered serious head injuries when she was attacked with a hammer in Hamilton on Monday night.

She escaped her attacker and fled to a nearby property on Mariri Rd in the central suburb Frankton, where emergency services were called at about 6pm.

Police want to speak with anyone who was driving along Norton Road between 7pm and 8pm last night, Monday 29 April, who saw a distressed female.

Hamilton’s projected deficit has worsened, while development is on a “downward trajectory” not seen since the Global Financial Crisis.

Those findings were in a report to Tuesday’s finance and monitoring committee hui, as the cash-strapped council battles a range of issues and is consulting on a 19.9% rates rise for 2024-25.

French Film Festival Gala Opening Night at Lido Hamilton 5 June

It is this time of the year where June means French Film Festival for us!

This year, we are spoiled with a fantastic programme of movies. Making a choice will be challenging. To kick off this festival, we are delighted to invite you at the Opening gala at The Lido from 6:15pm. At 7pm, the screening of the swashbuckler The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan will start.


The ticket is $35 and includes the movie, a glass of wine, savoury and sweet amuse-bouches as well as a goodie bag.
