Stamp collection
We are moving to a Retirement home so are downsizing. I have a collection of stamps which I have been saving on and off for more than 60 years. As far as I know there are no valuable stamps in the collection, as it has just been a hobby. Over the years I have collected First Day covers as well as hoarded all sorts of stamps. I would just like them to go to someone interested as none of my own family are. It is more sentimental than financial. So I am keen to see if I have any offers, for the lot, please. Need to be picked up from Chartwell area, Hamilton.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Derelict Tokanui Hospital site in line for a clean-up
Derelict Tokanui Hospital buildings will be demolished and contaminated land cleaned up so the site can be offered back to iwi.
The former psychiatric hospital, southeast of Te Awamutu, sits on land taken from Ngāti Maniapoto under the Public Works Act in 1910.
