Fairfield College of fundraising to send 23 students on a trip to visit their sister school in China. They are having an evening with Dave Upfold hypnotist. I've heard these evenings are a lot of fun. If you'd like to come along get in touch with me for tickets. Tickets are $20 each or $25 door sales on the night. Great for a family!

The Waikato really copped it over the weekend, with wild weather leaving a hefty clean-up bill that may run into the millions.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
