Just a quick reminder:
ANNUAL MATARIKI MULTICULTURAL TREE PLANTING!
Saturday 6 July 2024, 10:30am-1:30pm.
WHERE: Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park, Baverstock Road gate, on the way to the Hamilton Zoo. Please note that this is an updated gate entrance (as we will no longer enter the park from the Rotokauri Rd gate, as previously advertised).
Bring a spade, water, gardening gloves and your gumboots! (we may have some extra spades available).
This event is free, family-friendly, and fun! Bring the family, plant some saplings, and have some food (light lunch and hot drinks provided). Help offset your carbon usage and plant some tree for our City Council in the awesome Waiwhakareke!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
