Council ignored the needs of businesses in Ward and Rostrevor Streets. They attempted similar changes to Brooklyn Road and a massive protest at Claudelands meeting put it on hold. Now Council attempting to do the same in residential, Chapel, and apartments occupied Cook Street ignoring the needs of those who live and use this street.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
