Firewood, free if collected today (Saturday 25 February) from a lane off Newell Road, Tamahere. 35+ year old flowering cherry. It has been ringed into relatively small rounds. Most can be lifted by one person, but it still needs cutting/splitting to fit a fire. One large trailer load (or two smaller loads). Contact Helen 027 341 2465
From rugged campsite to 7.5ha resort
Grant Kilby has always loved camping. His mum was director of health at the YMCA, and he would attend YMCA camps in the school holidays. “I think it was mandatory that I was there,” he jokes.
He went on camping holidays with his parents, and later, took his own kids.
