Opportunity for Tenor singers
There is an opening for three tenors in our four-part harmony men’s a cappella choir this year. Hamilton’s Mighty River Harmony is looking for choir tenors who have a soaring tenor voice with a musical tone to sing mostly melody in our close harmony style. We are looking for experienced singers who are able to hold their part against other harmony singers and who like to sing a range of music genre including swing standards, show songs, New Zealand music, and arrangements of modern songs. It would be preferable if you are able to read music; however, we provide all scores and training tracks for ear learners. If you fit these criteria, we'd love to arrange an audition with you. All three Hamilton MPs appear to be united behind the retention of the Te Huia passenger rail service between Hamilton and Auckland, as well as potentially expanding it to Tauranga.
But whether Hamilton East’s Ryan Hamilton, Hamilton West’s Tama Potaka and soon-to-be Labour list MP Georgie Dansey have the combined power to shunt transport minister Chris Bishop and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon onto their line of thinking remains to be seen.
