‘Spirit of Art/Art of Spirit’: A month-long celebration of the Sacred Nature of Creativity

EarthDiverse, the Waikato Interfaith Council, Artmakers Trust and the University of Waikato’s Ecumenical Chaplain’s Office are pleased to announce a a series of talks, readings, music and dance performances, practical workshops and an ongoing exhibition devoted to the theme of Art and Spirituality to be held between 24th August and 30th September.

What: a month-long series of events that include an art exhibition, music and dance performances, poetry readings, talks, seminars and practical workshops on the theme of Art and Spirituality.

When: 24 August through 30 September 2019

Where: Lady Goodfellow Chapel, University of Waikato, Gate 1, Knighton Road, Hamilton; and Artmakers Trust, 2 Seddon Road, Hamilton

Grant Kilby has always loved camping. His mum was director of health at the YMCA, and he would attend YMCA camps in the school holidays. “I think it was mandatory that I was there,” he jokes.

He went on camping holidays with his parents, and later, took his own kids.
