kind people making difficult situations easier -- cat hit by car
on Sunday night, in Springfield Cres, my poor cat got hit by a car and suffered a broken jaw. He is recovering well. This post is about the lovely young woman and the gentleman with her whose car my cat ran in front of. They stopped, scooped him up and bought him to us, She was very upset and I'm hoping someone reading this may have heard her talk about this and can pass on a message to her that the cat has survived and, given recovery time, will be fine. She was so distraught and obviously cared a great deal and the thought that she has this horrible experience to finish 2018 with really saddens me. -- who knows if someone may know her. I know it's a long shot but I feel I have to try. In my concern for my cat at the time I failed to get their names or numbers. They were the ones who contacted the emergency vet for us and showed us great kindness and caring, instead of just dumping the cat and running. There are such good people out there.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
