'Hellhole of a town'

There's been a lot of debate sparked by a woman who said she'd rather live in an Auckland caravan than her state house in Hamilton.

But it's obviously one person's view of the diverse community in which she lives.

So, in light of both stories linked to here, what's your take on the situation?

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)

Discovery of remains could answer one question but leave more

It’s been more than 900 days since Alvina Smith last saw her partner Shane Edwards - standing at the kitchen sink doing dishes.

Now, if human remains found near a Tokoroa creek turn out to be his, it’ll resolve at least one of her many questions.
