hey its Nancy here ( yes... its me again ) lol
ive decided to sell or trade some of my birds due to me needing my front room back..... its been designed and used for more than 4 years, as a "free flying bird room" but now its going to have to be used for other reasons, which are also very important . so unless someone has a medium size outdoor aviary available, to be traded with or to sell to me these are the birds that need a good home :
1 young (but with a mind of his own) red- rump........tame
2 male zebra finches ( one of them had a toe amputated BUT is okay in every other way) one light brown (unknown sex) java sparrow ( who also had a leg amputated, and was given to me for rehabilitation) she/he is now ready to be going to a good home ) one 9 month old, bright yellow female budgie one bright blue male budgie 2 years old and was an award winning budgie ) and 2 hand reared cockateils...1 three year old Latino male. tame......one 11 month old Latino / mixed female....tame . ive enclosed some photos so let me know if anyone is interested. i would defiantly want to know, that they are being cared and homed for in the BEST way.....as they also are my babies ( tears)
but i feel and thought about this for a VERY long LONG time , but the bottom line is " that there is a very old human being, who has no family in NZ and is in in a desperately poor and unstable situation right now, that i feel needs to be helped out first......as the government is not ! (typical ).
trust me I tried....and ive been send from pillar to post with that lot, WAY to many times now. So enough is enough, as in the end...if you want something done, there is no point of pissing and moaning about it for to long....and you might as well do it yourself !!!!!
just one last thought regarding government agencies and departments ...
( and i soooooo hope they are reading this bit)
"if we lie to the government ,its called a FELONY....but, if they lie to us, its called politics " ?????
basically in my eyes, there are two kinds of human beings in this world.......GIVERS and TAKERS. The takers may eat better, but the givers "SLEEP BETTER" regards to all and let me know if you are interested.

If you haven’t already made contact with your neighbours and older relatives, the holiday season is a perfect opportunity to break the ice.

Sometimes we get caught up in the Christmas rush, and don’t take time to think about people who may be experiencing a much quieter holiday season. Contact with older people can help families to connect with what Christmas is really about, and it’s a great time to explore memories and think about traditions.

We will posting 5 tips leading up to Christmas on how you can connect with your older neighbours this Holiday Season.

5. Look out for them
Look out for your neighbours this holiday season. Be mindful that Christmas can be a tough time for some older people, especially those who live alone. Small gestures of kindness can make this time much easier for older people who may be lonely.
