Have you ever been involved in a rescue effort?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

A boatie literally gave the shirt off his back to help save a kayaker clinging to life.

Ross Christensen, owner of Hamilton boat builders Fin Chaser Boats, was handing over a new amphibious boat to owner Ian on Friday in the Hauraki Gulf. But boatbuilder and new owner got to put the toy to the test when they were unexpectedly called to rescue a kayaker north of Auckland.

Have you ever been involved in a rescue effort, and do you have any tips that could help someone else faced with that situation? Tell us more in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).
